We are excited to announce our annual Spring Fundraiser on June 4th from 3:00pm-7:00pm at South Hill Cider, 550 Sandbank Rd., Ithaca, NY.

This will be a family friendly event featuring an incredible lineup of lively music, community, and delicious food. A suggested donation of $20 will go towards helping support our work focused on Earth relationships and guardianship, Indigenous perspectives in school classrooms, and the health and wellbeing of Indigenous people.

“We welcome the community to come out for another wonderful event this year! It was so joyful last year and was a huge support to our Indigenous Youth Camp, Mochi Ania ~ Camp Turtle, which was our focus for this fundraiser last year.” Tahila Mintz, founder and director of OJI:SDA’ said.

Live performances will include appearances by Akwesasne Mohawk singer Bear Fox and Lydia Garrison, a fantastic fiddler and banjo picker. Joining the lineup is an Ithaca local, Alejandra Diemecke of La Llorona who weaves together loops and voice to create enchanting musical landscapes. Richie Stearns, a local banjo picker who has toured around the world as well as played locally as part of bands including the Horse Flies, Evil City String Band, Ti Ti Chickapea, and Donna the Buffalo will also make an appearance. Rounding out the evening will be performances by Revolutionary and Mini Revolution Southside Community Center dance troupes.

Dinner plates will be available for purchase and prepared by Earth Sol Catering. Dinner will be nutritious, yummy, and include mostly vegan options such as feel good stew, pickled beets, cornbread (regular cornbread, vegan, and gluten free options will be available), and mixed green
